Abstract

Soot particles (PM) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions from diesel engine exhaust is the major pollutants. Although with the advantage of higher thermal efficiency, better fuel economy and dynamic performance, durability, low maintenance costs, wide range application, the amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and soot particles (PM) emissions is high and difficult to resolve. NOx in the atmosphere to form ozone will be further increased concentration of ozone in the atmosphere; PM increases the amount of particles in the atmosphere, cause the air pollution and affect visibility, directly access to the respiratory system,in a word these two pollutants cause great harm both to human health and the environment. With the growing importance of environmental protection increased, the attention to environmental protection issue is also raised to an unprecedented level. So how to solve the amount of soot particles (PM) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions from diesel engine exhaust has become an urgent problem. This study focused on two aspects, firstly, explore the ability of removing nitrogen oxides (NOx) and soot particles (PM) at the same time about different catalysts. Mainly explore the ability of the perovskite ABO3 and perovskite-like type A2BO4. Establish a set of removal nitrogen oxides (NOx) and soot particles (PM) simultaneously. By replacing the element of A and B,partly replacing the element of A and B,replacing A and B simultaneously,to explore the performance of catalytic activity and remove the exhaust emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx ) and soot (PM) at the same time,in order to achieve the gole to eliminate or reduce nitrogen oxides (NOx ) and soot (PM).Secondly,in order to solve the amount of diesel engine soot particles (PM) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions and achieve the ultra-low emissions level, besides that meet the limits of the emissions regulations,we consider the adsorption catalyst method to reduce soot particles (PM) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions at the same time. In view of catalytic reduction by absorption of the gasoline engine to reduce NOx research has been successful, use the software FIRE of AVL company to simulate the synergy between soot particles (PM) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) under the action of catalyst, and the performance of the adsorption and desorption in the alkaline metal catalyst,in other words, provide new theoretical methods and reference in order to lay a good foundation for experimental research.
