Abstract


The purpose of understanding the floating population of the railway construction site of AIDS-related knowledge, attitudes and behavior (KAP) status quo and its influencing factors, to provide a basis for the development of the AIDS health education and behavioral intervention strategies and measures; evaluation of behavioral interventions on railway construction sites floating population in the prevention, control the effects of AIDS. 943 floating population of the entire cluster sample of a railway construction enterprises in Hefei, the outer two construction site survey by univariate analysis, correlation analysis and multiple logistic regression analysis of the floating population of AIDS-related knowledge, attitudes and behaviors influencing factors . Intervention object on the basis of the baseline survey a small media publicity and peer education intervention period of 4-5 months, and then follow-up survey to assess. Builder's floating population in general AIDS knowledge and lack of understanding; higher the education level and income, elderly AIDS-related knowledge level of the higher wage more time. Sympathetic to the 734 people who have heard of AIDS, only 37.5% (275) of people living with AIDS. 943 survey, no objection \9.5% of the surveyed object (90) admitted within the last three months of non-marital sex, 28.6% (22) admitted never use condoms, only 10.4% (8) of each use. Education level, the higher the score and AIDS knowledge, condom use frequency is higher; visit relatives interval and the longer working time, the lower the frequency of condom use. Awareness generally increased by 943 compared to before the intervention and after the intervention, follow-up to 671 construction sites floating population of AIDS-related knowledge, attitudes and behavior, found that behavioral interventions in varying degrees, the builder's floating population of AIDS transmission, prevention knowledge significantly increased awareness of self-protection; negative attitude taken to the psychology of fear and discrimination, respectively, 9.8%, 10.5% to 6.3%, 3.5% (P values ??are lt; 0.05); admitted within the past three months, had a non-marital the proportion of sexual behavior decreased by 24.8% to 3.8% (P lt; 0.01); most recent non-marital sex use condoms increased from 41.9% to 64.3% (P lt; 0.05), but in within three months of non-marital sexual behavior before and after condom use frequency intervention comparison no significant difference. The degree of new entrants into the crowd of AIDS-related knowledge, personal self-protection awareness was no significant difference compared with the baseline population; but the follow-up group on AIDS knowledge, AIDS, attitudes and personal protection awareness was significantly higher than the new entrants into the crowd (P lt; 0.01). Conclusion railway construction sites floating population exists imminent risk of HIV infection, its conduct targeted AIDS health education and behavioral intervention. The results of this study show that the health education and behavioral intervention builders' floating population are effective measures for the prevention and control of AIDS; but long-term change in high-risk sexual behavior of migrant workers and STI / AIDS intervention mechanism should establish a long-term behavior.
