Abstract


Conservation and utilization of industrial heritage is an important part of cultural heritage protection. With the city in recent years, industrial restructuring, the rapid development of urban construction, which has important historical, aesthetic and architectural value of the industrial heritage is rapidly disappearing from the city.Guangzhou is not only the culture center of South China, the birthplace of the revolution in modern China, the origin is also the Maritime Silk Route, the country’s reform and opening up of the experiment, the rich industrial heritage can be utilized. With the use of urban spatial structure and function of major transformation, a large number of industrial heritage is disappearing from the city. In this situation, how to learn from the successful experience of foreign utilization, inherit and carry forward the spirit of the city spaces and urban context, the re-development of rational and effective use of industrial heritage, has a pressing practical significance.This industrial heritage to explore their own values in the same time, reveals the urgency of conservation work, by comparing the domestic and industrial heritage areas of theory and practice of utilization development, analysis of the utilization practices in our current situation and development trend. From Guangzhou in recent years, and reuse of industrial heritage conservation process of starting the practice, and summarized the theory of conservation and reuse based development model and adaptive utilization implementation strategies, as well as modern technology and materials used in the operation of the process of utilization patterns. On this basis, in Guangzhou City of industrial heritage conservation and utilization of existing problems and contradictions to explore the resources available through the analysis of the corresponding development strategies proposed.
