China has vast mountainous area, the city’s development is closely related with the mountains, some cities are built near mountains, some cities is surrounded by mountains. But as China’s high economy development, the damage of natural ecology was aggravated in the urbanization process, including the damage of mountains in cities. Hills are farther and farther away from the people living in cities. Many mountains in the cities was ruthless slashing or completely disappeared, left mountains in the city became urban "islands." These urban mountains are a treasure of mountain resources and urban valuable "green lung", have an important ecological and environmental value, should be valued and protected. The construction of city park based on these mountains protect the value mountain resources while providing training and leisure venues for the city people.City park based on mountains in cities is one type of mountain park,and is belong to city park. The first chapter orders and analyzes the history of city park and mountain gardens in order to fully absorb and learn the essence of and successful experience. Then in the third chapter,the elements of mountains park were analyzed and summarized, summed up the characteristics of elements and attributes, and the impact on the planning and design.
