Not only can Nature Reserve protect the nature environment and natural resource and biology diversity, but also it plays an important role to water conservation and air purification. It is also an natural museum and a speech place for science research, drumbeating education, visiting and international intercommunion, which has a huge value of landscape and education. Lack of sustainable development management, scientific planning and management experience for a long time, most resource has been wasted and the environment has been destroyed and some biology communities disappeared because most of nature reserve have not been planned systemicly, In order to achieve "two win" between nature reserve sustainable development and environment protection, it is time to take right planning design for the development of nature reserve.Based on the former research and theory, in this paper the ecological planning theory with garden landscape design are put forward. In the introduction,the article anaylsis the importance of nature reserve ecology plan, and point out some problem such as redefine unclearly and the research extension. Based on Dawu Mountain Nature Reserve in Guangdong province, firstly, a detailed planning are carried out while using the theory of sustainable development, environment carrying capacity, ecological protection,recreation planning and landscape ecology, in the view of ecological protection, to plan the based establishment, organization, human resource, ecological function planning and ecological protection at length, then, in the view of landscape ecology, the author has evaluated the landscape resource in study area. The method and content of which can be seen in this paper.Because of the complexity, diversity and fragility of the nature reserve, it is too difficult to plan perfectly, so the theory of the planning design need to be more consummated. This paper only make a primary study on the ecological planning and landscape design on nature reserve. It may be some useful for the planner or researcher on nature reserve.At the meantime,a series of detailed number can be computed.
