Abstract


Product design process is generally divided into the requirements analysis , conceptual design, detailed design stage . Conceptual design as product design reflects the human intelligence , to determine the stage of the merits of the final plan , which is considered to be the most critical technology product design . With the rapid development of the world economy and how to maximize product quality , shorten product development cycles become the key to the survival and development of enterprises . This requires that the various activities involved in the product information should be unified description and expression to create a complete , accurate highly consistent product model to achieve product all kinds of information sharing in the product life cycle . Therefore, to carry out the product model has important significance . Is characterized by a complete description of the product design cycle carrier , is an information representation . Design features introduced to the conceptual design stage , to establish a design process model based on the concept of the design features early in the product design stage , the program generates propose an effective solution to support computer-aided conceptual design . The design features is the basis of this study , which covers all stages of the design process the information they need , thereby establishing a design feature information model can support the conceptual design phase of information representation and reasoning . For the general definition of the design features of its content classification is necessary to elaborate and necessary . From the start the entire process of product design , and product information model based on the design features , and all aspects of this information model in-depth analysis . Based information model of the design features , articles of a solution method based on constraint-driven combination of the constraint network diagrams and man-machine cooperation preliminary design layout . As the focus of the study , analysis of the profound meaning of layout constraints , and will be classified according to the constraints in the layout design . According to the method described herein , a prototype system was developed with VC in two specific instances , through the establishment and layout of the reasoning of the feature model , the initial layout program Figure . The examples demonstrate the feature-based approach described in this paper is feasible .
