Abstract


Along with the rapid growth of the Internet network scale , compute-intensive and data-intensive applications , the traditional distributed computing and parallel processing technology can not meet the demand for high-performance distributed processing and distributed mass storage management , so the grid technology came into being. The concept of the data grid (Data Grid) from the grid, it is the application and implementation of grid technology in data management . Data access process depends on the resources found in the data grid environment , resource discovery is the metadata that describes data resources , network resources in the grid environment frequent changes , the corresponding metadata change very frequently , and how can more quickly and efficiently obtain the desired metadata on each node can be quickly and efficiently distribute the respective meta data to the other nodes in the network , depending on the embodiment of the metadata distribution strategy . Existing metadata distribution strategy can be basically divided into two categories : passive distribution and active distribution . The active metadata distribution with very high accuracy , but it will take up a lot of network resources ; passive metadata distribute low cost , but it is difficult to ensure the accuracy of the metadata . By the Conference on metadata distribution (Rotating Meeting Metadata Dissemination, RMMD) the metadata distribution of retirement by meeting , and HLA (High Level Architecture) data distribution management , data filtering mechanism , it is both the initiative metadata distribute the distribution of data of the accuracy and passive low consideration , efficient and effective distribution of the meta-data in the entire grid , so that the meta- data for the whole grid in a relatively short period of time , with a relatively small consideration get a better configuration . RMMD strategy and active metadata distribution strategies , passive data distribution policy by simulation experiments comparing experimental results show RMMD strategy can be effective distribution of the meta data in the entire grid to improve the accuracy of the distribution , and to ensure the distribution of low cost .
