Abstract


This paper emphatically from the garden esthetics, landscape ecology and environment psychology research waterfront landscape plants characteristics and design concept, using the field in accordance with case analysis, and summarizes the methods of landscape plant construction, this paper discusses the general aesthetic rule. Main research results are as follows:(1) The paper based on the domestic and international overview of the waterfront landscape design were analyzed, summarize esthetic、ecological、regional principle for the urban waterfront landscape plant design.(2) The paper based on the physical elements of landscape plants, spatial composition and community types of analysis, combined with the green features of the Urban Waterfront, summed up the general rules of Waterfront landscape design.(3) To field investigation the plants landscape the lines which from the Changsha Xiang River Scenic Belt of the slope sub-blocks to the first manufacturing of water Co., Ltd. Summed up the landscape plants’principal features and principal deficiencies. for the above shortcomings, proposed corrective principles and methods.Principal features:With an emphasis on plant diversity, the formation of a rich constructing the Artificial Plant community; Mixed cultivation of evergreen and deciduous trees enhance the sense of the landscape distance for the level of Vision; Plants highlight the changes of seasons, the formation of highlights of Focus Vision; Focus on the application of native species of trees, to maintain the stability of communities; Shaped micro-topography that effectively forms a green barrier; Application and Protection of Ancient and Famous Trees, Enhance the science of landscape plants.Principal deficiencies:Rigid revetment reduced the hydrophilic functional; Application of small aquatic plants lack of waterfront features; Crowded plants obstruct the continuity and open nature of the landscape; Large hedge resulting in monotonous landscape effects. Flowers seldom used, resulting in the lack of bright. corrective methods:Plants soften the waterfront shoreline, creating hydrophilic space; Full use of aquatic plants, highlighting the regional characteristics; Rational organization of plant-level, enhance the sense of space permeability; Focus on the culture of plants, increasing the content landscape; Increase the application of flower plants, the formation of forest highlights.
