ShangHai carries the arduous mission as a transfer station of the public transport junction. Distribution area is the region carriers of public transport junction, commerce and tourism culture.lt is also a window to show the high efficiency, fast-paced city of temperament. Quality of the distribution area has very important meaning. As an international metropolis,the requirements on the public facilities of distribution area are getting higher and higher. This paper will focus on the study of the public facilities of distribution area in ShangHai.There are many problems in environment facilities of ShangHai, including unscientifically designed, function limitation, imperfection of barrierfree design, comprehensive plan lack of systematic and so on.These problems results that the environment facilities can’t be used effective and a mass of resources wasting.The purpose of this study is to address the problems, give normative theoretical of guidance, find the ways to solve the problems,and give guidance cases, in order to satisfied people’s demand for environment facilities,to improve the environment of urban, to improve the level of the development of environment facilities.This article start with the actuality of environmental facilities of ShangHai traffic distribution area, to analyzes the existing problems and the reasons of environment facilities.Aiming at these problems, based on field research methods to conduct a study, the author put forward the major problems as fellow:First, facility design, construction, management is not holistic, systematic planning and organization, resulting in facilities hinder each other, function is not use effectively, as well as the facilities and the environment as a whole a sense of visual disharmony. Second, the environment facilities stay at the level of its basic functions, its lack of new technology, new ideas of applications. facilities, simple, old design elements. Third, the facilities lack of humanized design,the designers pay Less attention to the needs of the public. Fourth,the facilities with new technology due to functional limitations and the public have not systematic understanding about it, leading to the functions can not use effectively. Fifth, the environment facilities are not regional, and local characteristics, it reduced the identifiability and space charm of city. Sixth, the designer pay less attention on the latter part of maintenance, management and recycling of environment facilities.The problems are caused by a variety of factors.In order to solve the problems, the authors investigated Japan that is the advanced countries with the same area, and get together its excellent design work, to analyzed the unique design concept and design methods affected by natural conditions and social and human conditions manifested as follow:First, the holistic and systematic planning.
