Abstract


Mountain , as a common natural form , in our 9.6 million square kilometers of land, occupies a large proportion . Accordingly, the mountain city in our city is also a great proportion . Settlements is the largest city in the function block . Because of the unique nature of mountainous terrain , mountainous terrain demonstrated non-integer dimension , as well as Euclidean geometry studied triangles , circles, squares and other geometric shapes that exist between the basic contradictions and worsening of the mountain residential construction and the relationship between the natural mountain environment , this paper introduces the concept of fractal geometry , to Chongqing , for example, from the perspective of fractal geometry shape design with mountain mountain settlements between the natural environment . Fractal geometry is a complex body of research disciplines , mainly by self-similar , fractal dimension , layered iterative other features to reveal the complexity inherent in the nature of an orderly relationship . Based on fractal geometry on mountain convenience of description and analysis , this paper different from the traditional Euclidean geometry from the perspective that the perspective of fractal geometry to study morphology mountain settlements . Research purpose is to provide planners and architects an alternative perspective of the thinking , to make settlements and mountain mountainous natural environment better fit. The concept of fractal geometry does not solve all existing contemporary settlements design problems can only be solved partially complied with the problem of thinking of fractal geometry . This article from the field research and literature review summarizes two aspects of contemporary mountain settlements planning and design of the main problems and mountain settlements forms should be designed to meet the basic criteria. Introducing the concept of fractal geometry , and meet fractal thinking, mainly by self-organizing forces to develop mountain settlements formed ciqikou analysis and morphological changes in contemporary settlements comparing results based on the concept of fractal geometry shape mountain settlements influence ; combination of fractal geometry generalization and application design techniques and paper summarizes the design criteria for the existence of some mountain settlements issues, based on fractal geometry answer.
