Abstract


Country or region of the modern service industry can be seen as a number of inputs into the production of a number of outputs system. Frontier production function can be stated that the production process, this article will use the frontier production function theory and methods to the study of modern service industry productivity, simplify the production efficiency of the model of the modern service industry, the definition of the narrow sense of the modern service industry productivity system for modern service industry, modern service industry inputs into the relative efficiency of the modern service industry output, and the variable part of the social environment be examined as possible influencing factors of modern service industry productivity, various provinces, autonomous regions of the country, municipalities modern service industry productivity comparative analysis, cluster analysis, Tobit regression analysis, the following conclusions: the modern service industry production of each year to meet the technical efficiency of the region, away from the frontier, technical efficiency the region is also different; different regions through investment in the adjustment of the output model of the modern service industry, it is possible to achieve relatively effective technology; Conversely, if the adjustment fails, especially with respect to the level of development of the modern service industry is relatively backward areas, the consequences the area directly from the efficient regions directly into inefficient areas; surface of each year in the production frontier areas of modern service industry output levels are significant differences between regions with low level of modern service industry under the same constraints of the limited input reach the relative efficiency of the state; some areas makes the modern service industry output efficiency by appropriate adjustment of industrial policy has been close, but just industrial policy is still not enough for the modern service industry output for developed areas words, the size of the modern service industry presents incremental growth for underdeveloped areas, and its growth is quite slow; efficiency and output can the country is divided into six categories with different efficiency path areas; modern service industry production efficiency and regional gross industrial production showed a significant positive correlation directly, no significant relationship between the level of urbanization and modern service industry; 2000 was gradually between the modern service industry development and knowledge-intensive significantly related to the modern service industry in China has entered a new era of knowledge economy.
