Abstract


China is in a stage of rapid growth of urban development , rapid economic growth , urbanization has improved continuously . With the accelerated process of urbanization , urban development blindness , a disorder caused by the waste of resources , the decline in the quality of life of residents , cultural loss , rising costs of environmental degradation and economic development and other issues highlighted . The scientific development of the city is an urgent need for the city government to implement a set of scientific and rational urban development policies . Cities in the West , based on the compact , conservation and sustainable development of urban growth management thought is in the ascendant . Therefore , this paper studied the basic theory of urban growth management , and analysis of the city's urban growth management countermeasures Nanchang . Article in the analysis of the Western city growth management existing theory , philosophy and practice on the basis of its theory connotation dig and explore , and learn from existing research scholars and our urban realities of this theory decomposition fine , reasonable theory building . From a public policy point of view, explore urban growth management program .
