Abstract

Experience 100 years of engineering practice , engineering design personnel come to realize the limitations of the current design methods , and on this basis proposed performance-based seismic design method . Performance-based seismic design seismic design concept is a revolution , involving all aspects of seismic design , a variety of fortification in meeting social needs, the initiative to play a structural engineer , new structure, new materials and new technologies has a great significance. Performance-based Seismic Design Method has not yet matured , this paper aims to performance-based seismic design method introduces the design of high-rise buildings and high-rise on the capacity spectrum method frame - shear wall structure of the application of specific issues . This paper summarizes the results of previous theoretical studies on the basis of high-rise frame - shear wall structure is based seismic design capacity spectrum method to study key issues , proposed an improved method pushover analysis method , and gives the capacity spectrum and demand spectrum solving specific methods and performance point determination method ; using the PERFORM-3D finite element analysis software for high-level frame - shear wall structure instance to achieve the capacity spectrum method based seismic design analysis , through the structure of the pushover analysis, the structure the performance points ; rationality on performance points are analyzed , and the use of FEMA356 recommended target displacement method to calculate the structure of target displacement , the calculated target displacement and performance points corresponding to the target displacement were compared , the results basically meet the engineering needs . Using MIDAS Gen were analyzed for instance , draw the corresponding performance points , and the results with the PERFORM-3D results were analyzed and compared , the results basically meet the project needs ; in PERFORM-3D finite element analysis software for high-level frame - shear wall structure instance capacity spectrum method based seismic design analysis taking into account the impact of higher modes , and the extent of the impact of higher modes were analyzed , the results show that without considering the impact of higher modes will make structural analysis is conservative .
