The problem of Energy efficiency in buildings is becoming increasingly serious, from a technical point of view, such as improving the heat preservation performance of building’s exterior wall, enhance energy efficiency ratio of construction equipment, the construction structure research aim at climate, and so on, there have been many experts and scholars do substantial research and have made great achievements. However, from a non-technical point of view, there is still great potential for energy saving, but those are relatively neglected at home and abroad, there is still great room for research. Therefore, strengthening the research on non-technical energy efficiency methods of building has great practical significance.This paper will use the basic principles of biological climate science, human culture, construction environmental science and other disciplines, to analyze the energy consumption of both Western architectural operation pattern and China architectural operation pattern, then based on geographical, ethnic populations, discuss thermal comfort standards of China, introducing the concept of healthy living, study Several non-technical means of building energy conservation. Main content includes:(1) through comparing two different king of living style to show that different using models of building will cause a huge difference in energy consumption. China could not to study the high energy-consuming living way of Europe and the United States and can only advocate economize energy, the only choice is to promote the economic use and maintain the thrift life style, against foreign models and do mot adopt foreign way of life then will not lead to excessive waste in construction operations.(2) point out that due to China’s vast territory, complicated climate, China’s thermal comfort standards, which was wrote based on U.S. ASHRAE 55-92 and ISO7730 standards, is not proper with China’s climates, consider that our warming - Air-condition standards need not to apply relative content ASHRAE standards mechanically, we should build regional thermal standards of five regional climates respectively, which divided according to the point of view of construction thermal design, to mine more space of saving energy.(3) Found that a reasonable building operation management is an indispensable component of construction energy-saving and improper construction operations will result in tremendous waste of energy.To learn smart abroad methods of introducing market mechanisms to promote energy-saving, carry out the scheme similar to German energy-saving certificates; cooperate with German to train energy managers; hopes a new career named green building consultant engineer will appear.This paper discuss about a number of non-technical energy-saving methods, aimed at promoting buildings energy-saving scheme in China, to provide ideas for further research in the field of non-technical energy-saving construction.
