Abstract

Recently, along with a series of explosion accidents, the study on anti-impact of structure is becoming a pop scientific subject in the field of disaster prevention and reduction engineering and protective engineering in the world. As a typical impact load, blast load possesses the commonness of impact. Studying on the dynamical response of structure members under blast load will be in favor of finding the universal dynamical law of members and offer guidance for the design of resisting impact and progressive collapse. Based on the finite element analysis software ANSYS and ANSYS/LS-DYNA, the capabilities of reinforced concrete frame column to resist lateral impact load was analyzed. The main research points and conclusions are as follow:By means of comparison of interrelated literatures and using finite element method based on ANSYS and ANSYS/LS-DYNA, the relative logical 3D numerical models of typical reinforced concrete frame column were established, in order to simulate and analyze the dynamical responses and failure modes of frame columns under impact load.Using ANSYS, the simplified model of a reinforced concrete frame column subjected to impact wad studied, and the dynamical response was analyzed. It is found that we can optionally predigest a frame as a cross-shaped structure or select a simple member with end constraint conditions based on the process time of load; under simplified blast load, the dynamical responses and failure modes of frame column are correlative with the magnitude and process time.Using ANSYS/LS-DYNA and the coupling mechanism for modeling Fluid-Structure Interaction can simulate blast load, its process of birth, spread and interplay with structure truly. And the simulation result accords with the reality and physical principles, which indicates that under close quarters blast, the failure course of frame column is direct wreck firstly by impact wave, then is the bend failure at the bottom of column; the displacement and distortion course is inflecting primarily and then is the bend of whole member bend; the end constraint condition of a column is directly correlative with the dynamical response, and reinforcing the knot or increasing right(or left) beam height will influence directly the dynamical response of the whole column.
