Production activities or in daily life often needed materials or supplies temporarily stored for future use or consumption . This phenomenon is stored items in order to resolve the mismatch between supply ( production ) and needs ( or consumption ) , storage is a means of contradictions between the address and coordinate the supply and needs . Many memory theorists in the classical EOQ model to develop new storage model , but most models are considered to be in the trading of goods at the same time \providers usually allow retailers to obtain goods and payment after a period of time , that is, with a certain amount of credit period . And before storage model is usually assumed that the goods in a into the warehouse began to deteriorate ; practice, usually goods have a certain shelf life ( fresh ) period , the goods are entering the warehouse for a period of time before they began to degenerate, ie, non- instantaneous deterioration. This article summarizes the basis of previous experience , and further consideration of the special nature of the non - instantaneous deteriorating items , retailers permit deferred payment of the sale price of the buy and sell goods , mode of operation and in the event of a deterioration retailers keep merchandise sales and other aspects of this offer discounted prices to the greatest degree of cost savings as the goal , to create a storage model , to provide the best storage solutions for retailers . In the above conditions to determine the best order strategy , namely: to determine the optimal order cycle and optimal order quantity ; given different judgments conditions and due to the different characteristics of the goods .
