Abstract


Peking Opera is one of a comprehensive arts, from the visual image showing the audience, that clothing and masks are highlight characteristics. Peking Opera attaches great importance to use color to create an atmosphere and to shape characters. The colorful clothes and the bizarre magic mask have the independent value, which is the famous Chinese and foreign art treasures. However, on the study of the color stage choosing is still in the description of the phenomenon such as red shows faithful brave, black shows firm and white shows treacherous. As for the determination of the Peking Opera color choice is not mentioned frequently. The article will study the colorful clothes and the masks in the opera stage, and explore the art of Peking Opera with characteristics from the perspective of color, and sum up and analyze the color regulation. Specially apply Natural Color System to analyze the color of Peking Opera masks. In order to interpret the principle and origin of the Peking Opera clothing and masks, we will look for the meaning and Inspire on modern color design.
