Abstract


With the adjustment of economic structure and shifting of the economy increasing ways, a large number of manpowers with high qualities and skills are required eagerly in production and service industry in our country. A effective way to find out about teaching quality is examining teachers’ procedures and results. And now, the most important work is to study and design a suit performance appraisal system for teachers for vocational school.Shaanxi A Vocational School—a vocational school, was established in 1978 by Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, training vocational manpowers for foreign trade specially. At the end of every school year, teachers’ performances have been examined. After examination, there always are some teachers who disagreed with the examining procedure and results. A few teachers even resigned, had strained relations with their colleagues. They even refused to work in next term. For school, these bad results took a lot of harmful factors and had seriously influenced the normal order of teaching, hindered the increasing of school’s teaching quality.In order to solve the problems of the performance appraisal system for teachers, the writer analyze the school’s current system and its validity, investigate its abuses and the kickbacks of the assessment. According to above work results, the writer is clear about the design aims, guiding principles, and its design principles for new system. At the same time, by using the work-analyzing methods, the author analyze the teacher’s duty and the feathers of his teaching post, get the teacher’s post literature.On the basis of these, the optimal design has been made, finally, the writer evaluate the validity of this new system and defined the implementation principles.
