Abstract


In recent years, research on learning strategies, second language acquisition has become a new field of research. As one of the four basic skills of hearing also attracted the special attention of the researchers. In fact, at home and abroad has many researchers for foreign language learners listening comprehension strategies for investigation and research. However, these studies were mostly college students, few scholars Students listening strategies use. Therefore, the need for more quantitative and qualitative surveys and studies to provide more accurate information and research findings in this regard research. Firstly Listening Strategies situation at home and abroad, been inspired by the research investigation by the Jiangxi Province Chongren a third year two graduating parallel classes of 90 students, trying to explore 1) high school students' English listening strategy use overall situation; 2) hearing a high level with a low level of learner differences in listening strategies; 3) different gender learners listening strategies difference. In this study, the combination of questionnaires and interviews to expand on the survey of high school students listening strategies. The use of tools is one of Listening Strategy Use Questionnaire (Pilot Version), which contains 13 kinds of listening strategies; bis Jiangxi Entrance Examination 2007 hearing. In addition, the interview research tools used in this article is to provide more support and powerful explanation of quantitative research. The analysis of the information and data collected, the use of education statistics software SPSS13.0. The study results show that: 1) Overall, high school students is a middle-level strategy users. Metacognitive strategies and cognitive strategies they use higher frequencies, but is rarely used socio-affective strategies; 2) high school students, the strategy use frequency is higher than the low grouping. Better at high school students, in the hearing process to concentrate, to speculate and reduce anxiety; 3) girls than boys are better at using the monitoring, planning, use of resources and translation strategies. Based on these findings, the high school English teachers in the classroom teaching infiltration learning strategies to improve the awareness and ability of high school students use listening strategies; listening teaching methods recommended five specific strategies are hearing learn to use planning strategies, monitoring strategies, evaluation strategies metacognitive strategies, inference strategies cognitive strategies, as well as the emotional and communicative strategies reduce anxiety strategies. In addition, teachers should also make use of foreign language teaching, and to correct the learner's learning attitude. Finally, in the paper, pointed out the deficiencies and defects in the present study, such as: small sample size, few research methods and tools used. In this connection this paper put forward some suggestions for future research.
