Abstract


With the continued expansion of the size of the floating population of migrant children 's education is increasingly being recognized . Due to the special status of the parents in the family , as the person directly responsible for educating children , the attitude and behavior of their children's education will give the migrant children in all aspects of a profound impact . The parents directly reflect the attitudes and behavior of their children's education in educational expectations and educational choice , but some research just a brief description of the educational expectations and educational choices for parents , and did not take into account the links between the two , and the influence of both factors and not from the point of view of controlling other variables . Paper uses data of October 2006 I participated in a questionnaire survey , a total of 2,083 children and 1,735 parents involved in the response to the questionnaires . Data analysis , the author in addition to necessary data description , interactive table and Logistic as the analysis of the main tools of the impact of parental education expectations and educational choices . The analysis results show that parents are their children have higher educational expectations , but there are some differences between the parents of the different nature of students ; expectations of their children's education from the parents of migrant children school choice behavior and willingness to look The higher the level , the parents more inclined to let the children into the public schools . In addition , the mother's level of education , the economic situation of the family , as well as parents of their children's future whereabouts variables on educational expectations of parents and school choice behavior .
