Multi-spectral image is widely used in industrial and military technology field of environmental monitoring , target detection , high-precision and high-resolution lossless compression of multispectral images to get more and more attention . The existing multi-spectral image compression algorithm based on the research and analysis carried out some useful attempts using DPCM, lifting wavelet transform and SPIHT algorithm to achieve the multi- spectral image compression , get a good result . This article discusses the characteristics of multi- spectral image analysis of multispectral image space and spectral redundancy characteristics , based on the direction of the forecast and lifting scheme adaptive multi- spectral image sparse representation theory , and based band Sort adaptive prediction and lifting wavelet transform compression method . First of all, the DPCM prediction method to remove the redundancy between the image of the spectrum . In order to improve the prediction , the prediction order , according to the correlation between the size of the different band image is optimized. In this basis, the the prediction residual image using a simple and effective method of lifting wavelet transform spectrum of internal compression , then encoded SPIHT coding of the residual image . Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method .
