With the development of computer technology, data integration has become one research hotspot. This paper is based on the army equipment management information system present situation and the equipment data integration realistic demand, focuses on the data integration technology based on the EAI, and tries to solve the problems related with heterogeneous data integration and the relative web applications.At present, the research on the army’s equipment data integration is at the initial stage. Most of them implement the data integration solely leveraging the application data storage or the interface integration methods. Therefore, it is important in theory and reality to research equipment data integration based on EAI.This paper has studied relative technologies, such as EAI, J2EE, and XML, designed the Equipment Data Integration System (EDIS) based on EAI. This system has realized the equipment data integration with EAI, which provides a unified data view. The main research work of this paper is as the following:(1) The equipment data integration is implemented based on EAI. This paper establishes the equipment data integration plan on the ground of analysis and study of the three integrated ways of EAI. The plan is carried on by a low cost and risk. In addition, according to the army’s new requirements, we can add new applications into the open EAI frame quickly.(2) The data are uniformed, standardized and integrated based on XML data model. Against different data sources and the center database, we construct data global pattern, partial pattern based on XML.Leveraging the XML Schema/DTD, we describe the different data transformation pattern of the different application systems, and implement the transformation in the data integration, finaly store these data into the entity databases.(3) EDIS is designed based on the J2EE platform. The EDIS architecture is constituted of several layers: data layer, integration layer, web service layer and application layer. This layered architecture loosens the coupling and reduces the system maintenance cost.Based on JSP/Servlet components, the integrated equipment web service is implemented to provide the integrated functions such as analyzing data.Based on the research on the key technology of data integration, this paper design and implement the Equipment Data Integration System (EDIS). The EDIS integrates the army equipment data, which keeps the autonomy of legacy systems and effectively solves the data integration problem.
