Workflow research began in the 1980s, and has always been the concern of the majority of scholars and research institutions. In today's increasingly competitive global enterprise workflow management system as an effective tool to improve enterprise management level and production efficiency, but also by the attention of many companies. The workflow engine is the core components of the workflow management system, mainly for workflow management system to provide process control functions. The workflow technology continues to evolve and mature, the scope of its application is more and more extensive and in-depth. In addition to the workflow management system, and many other applications also require workflow engine to provide process control functions. But the traditional workflow engine bound to the same workflow management system, combined with other application systems difficult to separate out. This led to a duplication of development of the core features of the workflow engine. The IOC full name is Inversion of Control, that inversion of control (also known as dependency injection). It is the rise in recent years, the programming mode. This mode can easily configure the relationship of each member in the system, so that the mutual cooperation of the respective members of the system at run time, so that the model can be well coordinated dependencies of each member, to reduce the coupling between the components, improve the reusability of the member . This paper analyzes the traditional workflow engine the IOC container component assembly advantages, research and propose a new embedded workflow engine design. First, the design of the engine system framework, detailed description of the functions of the various components of the engine, and put forward the concept of basic components and process components. Spring IOC container using java language and an engine of the original model. Finally, to test the capacity of the original model, the support of common workflow patterns, and summarized the engine can support workflow patterns, and explains how to extend the workflow engine to support special processes. The IOC container-based workflow engine to extract the core functionality of general workflow engine, and easy to combine with other application systems for other applications to provide process control functions to reduce the duplication of development of these applications workflow engine. 11 basic members also designed by the assembly of these basic building blocks can support a common workflow patterns, to meet the needs of a variety of software systems for workflow technology.
