Abstract


Pervasive Computing stressed that the computing environment is closely linked with the ubiquitous, convenient, adaptability characteristics. Provide users a convenient mode of application in the pervasive computing infrastructure on top of the pan in the space within the hardware and software entities must have the ability to self-discovery, configuration and interaction. Important as ubiquitous computing environment supporting technologies, the the entity discovery mechanism by dynamically maintain some space within the entity view, makes the above scenario possible. Entity is found to be an extension of the traditional service discovery in pervasive computing environment. Enterprise, Internet and other distributed computing environment, the Service found that the object is limited to a specific software statically configured by the system administrator and maintenance entity, Pervasive Computing Environment Pan and convenience features makes all the resources, including hardware, including are required to incorporate areas was found, and these resources are difficult to predict in advance and change dynamically at run time. This distinction makes the entity discovery techniques are facing new challenges, such as the description of the highly heterogeneous entities, fast entity matching implementation, the organization of the mass of information and dynamic environment information availability to ensure. Entity description and the entity matching method is the key to impact the performance of the entity discovery mechanism, this article will focus on the content of the study. In response to these problems, research existing entity discovery technology and typical entity discovery system, a lookup method for entities in pervasive computing environment, and designed and implemented an entity discovery system based on the Find method. This paper the results of the work include the following aspects: (1) in terms of entities described in existing syntax-level and semantic-level description combined to put forward a reasonable entity description, can better the performance of an entity can provide function as well as to have a variety of attributes, conducive the entity discovery mechanism rapid entities matching to help users through a variety of ways, the entity query. (2) the entity matching, a way to find based on the concept of hierarchical entities, full use of the advantages of description logic concept hierarchy to filter out to meet the needs of the type of entity to achieve the targeted part of entities information attributes match. (3) based on the entity description, as well as entities matching method proposed a specific program entities found system design considerations and to address other challenges faced by the entity discovery mechanism and prototype system StarEDS. (4) the performance of the StarEDS comprehensive test. The tests show StarEDS system has better precision and higher query efficiency.
