Abstract


Military information system under warfare is network-centric or supported as operational system. The whole performance of the system is not equal to the linear aggregation of its parts, which cannot be simplified and studied with Reductionism. How to describe and analyze military information system is becoming a research field under network-centric warfare.Firstly, on basis of analyzing the network structure, the paper constructs three kinds of models of network nodes according to their funcitons, which can be described as C2„ÄĀIntelligence and Force nodes. Then constructs five kinds of edges models based on the node model and communications between nodes. Thereout we can gain sub-network which is constructed from different nodes and edges. Following the "from simple to complex" principle, the paper put forward a method which is used to build network topology model for military information system. This model can reflect multiple network topology structures among nodes of different function in the military information system.Then, the paper analyzes the connection between system efficiency and system network topology, then gives a new index system which is used to analyze the performance of operational integration from network topology point of view. The paper analyzes the characteristics of information transmission delay, transmission reliability, information sharing degree and etc. The paper analyzes system efficiency from system network topology. Finally, the paper models and analyzes the network topology of an air defense information system.Analyzing military information system using the technique of network topology, we can combine network description and analysis firmly, which is in favor of the analysis in the relation between system composition and its performance. In sum, Method mentioned above can be a solid basis for exploring the laws of cooperation mechanism and dynamic evolution of military information system.
