Here will study the One Campus Card design and development, base on my daily work on One Campus Card application these years. Introduce the One Campus Card application at present, and its integration with other information system in future. Especially, will detail the One Campus Card system develop and design solution, and the exercise of improvement and extending in One Campus Card system, includes database design and system coding program.Below are the primary subjects will discuss in this paper about the design and development of One Campus Card system; the mail application includes 3 key components. First is the application research of integration IC/smart card, it includes the application of student ID card, campus consuming card, electric/water saving card, library reading card, ATM card and telephone card. Second is the integrated One Campus Card system, it’s the control center in whole One Campus Card application, includes the design solution, database construction and system program develop in One Campus Card management system, Card user management, consumption management, cash charging management and comprehensive finance balance. Third is the improvement and extending functions in Traditional One Campus Card system, such as campus medical management, student information management and education admin. management.The integrated One Campus Card system is designed in three application layers, integration system management center, sub-system level and in-front POS machine application. The system support both Client/Server and Browser/Server mode, supports multiple standard network protocol, and have some solution to ensure the system redundancy, such as server cluster. Every server in the One Campus Card system could share files/printer, and restrict access control their security. The integration management system is the management and security center of whole One Campus Card application system, it initiates whole system status, produce and management system encryption key, also it is the Database center, authentication control center, system monitor center and the daily management and maintenance platform for system admin.The One Card Campus System could work on the existing campus LAN infrastructure, don’t need any plug-in and extract deployment for the system architecture. It means a little cost is enough to archive the system on any campus LAN environment. After the system is deployed, it could use to authorize, manage and charge for the multimedia education, also use to authorization auto-indentify for the campus security alarm system.The System has some advantage function, such as easy to use, full functions in every separated module, advance management UI, exception handling, HW debug, charge checking, black list, card failure report and process, all of these functions are considered and provided in the system.The system advantage in technology, the system is currently using the most advanced Mifare1 non-touch radio frequency (S50) smart card as its media, this smart card has 8KB storage distributed to 16 separated sections, in order it could support high to 16 different application, every application has special security protection, so that they could work together without any confliction, and support multiple operation at the same time.The system advantage in software architecture, in order to facilitate the extension in the system features, the software architecture must be divided into operation workstation and management server. The central admin system manages and maintains all application sub-systems, and every sub-system could customize on demand, even user could develop their sub-system through the system API and plug to the system.The system advantage in data security and redundancy, in terms of security, we have adopted several security design, including the design: IC card management security, security key management, transaction security and network access security. All these security system protects the safety and reliability of whole business processes, ensure the integrity of data transactions, confidentiality and anti-denied. In the reliability of data access, it supports online hoc backup, using cluster redundancy server to ensure stable and reliable operation of the system. As all data will be stored in the managed of functional terminals, for real time reading and writing, all terminals could work as usual once network failure or server failure. However, when the network is resumed, all data will be automatically sent back to the backend central database.Systems management sub-system is the generic component of a card management system, its main functions include: key generation system to generate key system (secure key generation, distribute, revoke and remove, but the initial secure key for new card opening will be generated separately); management sub-system (add, modify, disable and enable); function components management. Card holder Information management system, is the sub-system belongs to the central admin management, its key function is to manage the information of card owners and other systems, such as student management system.The Card User Information Systatem management sub-system belonging to the Universal Card Management Center, its main function is to cardholder data management and other systems such as student management system interface.Card User Account management sub-system operators responsible for the entire system of personnel information management, data management card, the card initialization, wash card, the card issuers, the card back, report the loss, card sales and blacklist management, systems support a large number of card-issuing business , The card-issuing capacity of 300,000, a number of sub-systems can be installed, the card-issuing operations at the same time.Attendance and access control management sub-system: According to the school management system for teachers and students out of school, students / staff attendance and student hostels and rest schedule management arrangements for teachers and students, teachers and students in accordance with the original credit card system automatically records the teachers and students to judge the attendance, generate Statements for the management of inquiries. Attendance Management System access by workstations, local attendance, RS485, and other network components.To facilitate the extension plugs in the application, all module will as a web service sub-system integrated to system. But all consumption records will be merged to a unit finance balance system, while some non-consumption record will be kept in diff. system dedicated. Such as some damages of library, will be auto. merged to finance balance system to discount together.Looking forward to some new technique applied to Internet, the One Campus Card system could support Web 2.0 standard application, as it is based on web service system. And the smart IC card is designed to be compatible with RFID, so it is easy to integrate other smart card systems as well.
