Abstract


Material management is very important for an enterprise, for good material management can save cost greatly. However, material management in many enterprises is manual handing at present, which is complicated and mistakable.Thus, a material management information system with rounded function is indispensable for an enterprise to develop fast. In the course of information drive being transformed, it is one indispensable conditions for enterprises to have a reasonable, safe, reliable expanding MIS (Management Information System).The discussion based on the design and development of the material management system for an enterprise. The author has take part in the process of requirement’s analysis, system design, coding and testing. The paper discusses and demonstrates the feasibilities and superiorities of development of material management system based on the Struts architecture, give the introduction of object-oriented technology and UML. After give the detailed description of requirement, it discusses the representation layer, logic layer and database layer’s design and implement.Finally, it summarizes, give the shortages and improvements.
