Abstract


With the development of society , the traditional security system based on a token or password has become increasingly vulnerable , unable to adapt to the needs of modern security systems . This requires people to study more secure and reliable , and better security performance security system , fingerprint recognition technology is generated in this context , the fingerprint identification technology is a safe, reliable , high feasibility of biometric technology , it is with the human body the physiological characteristics to improve the reliability of the identification . The fingerprint recognition technology is based biometric authentication technology , because everyone 's fingerprint has one of the unique , life-long , fingerprint identification instead of the traditional means of identification of the safest , most reliable , most convenient way . The fingerprint pretreatment is determined whether the fingerprint identification can correctly identify the key . This paper focuses on the preprocessing algorithm for fingerprint recognition mainly do the following : 1. Compared the merits of the fingerprints traditional gray split and direction divided fingerprint segmentation , and uses a combination of fingerprint based on grayscale hierarchical segmentation algorithm and direction information , and achieved good segmentation results ; fingerprint filtering , analysis of deficiencies and limitations of the currently popular general direction filtering using a combination of fingerprint orientation information and frequency information improved Gabor filtering algorithm, to obtain a filtering effect better than the general direction of filtering ; fingerprint binarization step , compared now widely used in the binarization algorithm insufficient binarization algorithm which uses a combination of the direction information of the fingerprint block denoising processing , and after the binarization , get a good binarization ; 4. refinement of the fingerprint , comparing the multiple fingerprint thinning algorithm conducted and currently popular OPTA algorithm further improvements in refinement after further denoising , good refinement ; Finally a brief introduction effective matching of fingerprint feature extraction and point pattern matching algorithm for fingerprint .
