With the rapid development of network technology, network elements unconsciously penetrated into every corner of society, and are profoundly impact and change people's lives. In this process, the network of interpersonal communication has also become the interpersonal relationships of the modern society, one of the most innovative, most stylish, most convenient, most diversified, and instant messaging software (Instant Messenger, IM), Internet users are the most commonly used networking tools . Network and development of multimedia technology makes audio and video communication technology got a very good application, instant messaging, and injected new vitality into the further development of instant messaging. However, the purpose of the current domestic situation, its core technology is still dependent on the purchase of foreign-related technology solutions provider. Especially audio and video codec technology involves extremely expensive patent fees and charges, it is a serious constraint, and affect the healthy development of China's instant messaging market and even the entire audio and video industry. The standard of AVS (Audio Video Coding Standard) is the second generation source coding standard with independent intellectual property rights in China, and the series of standards referred to as the \Standards Working Group is responsible for the formulation. So far, AVS standard has been tremendous development, have been widely used in many fields. However, for such a vast market for instant messaging, application of AVS standard is almost zero. Therefore, the development of the AVS standards-based instant messaging system to expand its commercial products such as instant messaging, to fill the blank of the AVS standard in the technology field, and promote the development of the audio and video industry in China has a positive meaning. The research and development of the system is based on the deployment work. In this paper, the status quo of the instant messaging industry, as well as related technical realization extensive research, focusing on the analysis of the SIP protocol AVS standard, AVS video codec and streaming media transmission and synchronization; especially for AVS standard and AVS Video coding standard, a more in-depth studies, and several major standard comparison and analysis; design and implementation of a more complete instant messaging system; AVS video technology in the design and implementation of audio and video communication algorithm made some adjustments to make it more adapted to real-time applications for instant messaging; during audio and video communication more difficult to solve the transmission and synchronization problems, we propose a transmission control strategy based on RTP / RTCP protocol, so this The problem has been well resolved; using a the AVS standards-based video codec technology, this is the first time the AVS standard is applied to the instant messaging system; instant messaging system we design is based on the SIMPLE protocol, so it has good scalability and interoperability, to follow the same standard IM communication, which not only brought great convenience to the user, but completely avoid the conversion and processing of the the different IM different protocols are necessary for the complicated and thus can more fully utilize this resource.
