Abstract


Canine dermatophytosis caused by Microsporum canis is a common zoonosis, with long course, difficult to cure, easy to relapse, causing serious public health problem, causing the attention of veterinary workers increasingly. The research on antifungal drug using Chinese Herbal Medicine has been made many progresses, nowadays we found that Chinese Herbal Medicine with good results, few side effect, produce drug resistance, and have other unique advantages. Make full use of this unique advantage to develop the new type antifungal drug have a great clinical value. In this study, we study the antifungal effect of Chinese Herbal Medicine so as to develop a new type of antifungal recipe.Three culture systems were applied to cultivate Microsporum canis which were the SDA, PDA and RGM. The growth of the Microsporum canis were observed in this trial. The results show that the three culture systems can promoted the growth of Microsporum canis, but RGM was the best suitable culture medium for Microsporum canis in vitro.The suitable culture medium for the growth of Microsporum canis was used to basal culture mediun for screening drug, The result of the medical allergy experiment show that the bacteriostatic activity of the Essential Oil from Eugenia caryophyllata Thunb is the highest in the Chinese Herbal Medicine we mentioned above, and the zone of inhibition up to 22mm. The bacteriostatic activity of the wet tuber oral of Rumex, Garden Balsam, Aloes was better than dry root tuber oral, the zone of inhibition is 13mm,10mm,5mm respectively. The test tube dilution method was employed to measuring the 14 day minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC). The MIC of bacteriostasis of Eugenia caryophyllata Thunb, Rumex, Garden Balsam, Aloes is 5%,10%,35%,45% respectively.The result of experiment of Treatment Microsporum canis with the mixed medicine liquid of Eugenia caryophyllasta Thunb and Rumex show that:The mixed medicine liquid of Eugenia caryophyllata Thunb and Rumex preparation with the ratio of 2:1,then use that medicine liquid to dipping suffering dogs that had been diagnosed, with 30 minutes each time, two time each day for 7d continuously.The result also show that Microsporum canis removal completely,the effect of medicine liquid is good obviously. And in this experiment we also found that the medicine liquid had no skin stimulation or avirulence. It is safe for skin use, have a great clinical value.
