Abstract


Zhuzhou is a seriously polluted industrial city. Environmental pollution has a deep impact on the sustainability of the city’s ecological system. As essential component of the city’s ecological system, the urban forest plays a big role in maintaining the sustainability and the completeness of the system. The author tries to build a model for the monitoring and appraising of ecological health of urban forest in Zhuzhou and appraise the health condition of the city’s forest landscape on the basis of theories and technical methods of landscape ecology and sustainable development. The results show as follows:(1) After exploring the possible factors that domain in keeping forest ecosystem healthy according to ecosystem theories, the author finds out the reasonable factors to describe the health condition of urban forest landscape and summarizes the computation of indexes used to measure the landscape health status.(2) Introduce the dynamical monitoring system for urban forest ecological health status.(3) With the SPSS by the method of principal constituent tool, the author delete the useless indexes and set up an ecosystem health state appraising system consists of 4 factors such as landscape layout, diversity of nursery plants, landscape ecological function, environmental conditions and forest management, which contains 21 concrete indexes. After some mathematic computation, the indexes’weight on their respective factors is obtained.(4) In accordance with the below-mentioned principles, the author makes an estimation and summarization about the threshold value and quantity of some important indexes and thus defines the health status standards of urban forest landscape in Zhuzhou. The principles are as follows:the state and local standards are given priority over target standards made by the state or the local government; in absence of the above-mentioned two standards, the research results of home and abroad are adopted and indexes of advanced cities are referred.(5) With Fuzzy Mathematics Model, firstly makes an appraising on forest landscape health condition and get the result as "illness". The weight is 0.47.(6) Propose rational suggestion on how to improve the ecological health state in Zhuzhou from the angle of Greenland system planning, landscape layout, diversity of plants, environment protection and management.Due to the complexity of the forest ecological system, though some state standards can be referred to in the making of the health standards of landscape, there are still some indexes without state or local standards and there are arguments about that. Therefore, deep exploration is needed to perfect the research.
