Through analysis and forecast on pharmaceutical development trend home and abroad as well as analysis on current economic situation, micro-policy trend and comparison with international pharmaceutical companies’ merger and purchaser (M&P) strategy, the author of the paper conducted the following preliminary studies on M&P strategy and executive manner of Northeast Pharmaceutical Group(NEPG) for the purpose of realization of NEPG’S strategic development target and management of capital:1. Based on the analysis on general development situation, technology development trend, market potentials, competitive trend and the state policy-making for domestic pharmaceutical field, the paper gives the challenges and pressure facing domestic pharmaceutical enterprises in the course of competition with overseas counterparts.2. The paper summarizes the strong points and weak points of NEPG in the terms of product structure, marketing and sales, R&D, fundamental management.3. The paper proposes the principles on M&P, target company selection, M&P manner and opportunity of NEPG drawing on the successful experience of global M&P operations, M&P selections anddevelopment trend.4. The paper also offers some suggestions and advice on how to conduct the NEPG’S M&P strategy in the point of initial review, company evaluation and adjustment measures after merger.The above-mentioned studies can be used for NEPG’S policy and strategy-making to help NEPG win in the fierce competition and make contribution to the target of becoming on eternal NEPG with annual sales of 10 billion RMB.
