Listening skills are extremely important in today 's English teaching , and has become an essential organized by the Ministry of National Education CET . However , for college students through four exams , still in many media in English , especially in front of the radio and television in English , was very difficult . Based CET Listening ( CET -4 ) , Cable News Network ( CNN ) and the United Kingdom , the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) corpus, running the computer program to obtain large amounts of data , and the use of modern statistical methods of data the results were compared and analyzed , and finally concluded : CET-4 with CNN and the BBC have varying degrees of difference in many ways . By understanding and comparison of these differences , the teaching methods of English listening guiding recommendations .
