Objective: In this study, by observing after different polishing procedures gold alloy and titanium-containing nickel-chromium alloy surface roughness (Ra) and Streptococcus mutans and viscous actinomycetes adhesion relations, launched an effective polishing steps for clinical application theoretical basis. Methods: 0.8cm × 0.8cm x 0.1cm gold alloy and titanium-containing nickel-chromium alloy specimens 24 each, were randomly divided into four groups, polishing polishing procedures in accordance with the conventional metal crowns, each followed by an additional step : Group 1, green gravel; Group 2, green gravel Emery; Group 3, the green gravel emery hard rubber wheels; Group 4, the green gravel emery hard rubber wheel polishing paste and velvet round. Using a surface roughness meter measuring the specimen surface roughness (Ra) value; the test piece was then placed in a culture broth containing Streptococcus mutans and Actinomyces viscosus, in 80% N 2 , 10 The% H 2 10% CO 2 37 ° C under the conditions for 48h and 72h, 10 times more than the diluted colony forming units (CFU / ml) count. Results: (1) the determination of surface roughness tester used specimen surface roughness (Ra) values, results showed that: each alloy specimen within the group with different sanding between programs Ra value has a significant difference (P LT; 0.05), while the same different alloys of Ra Ra value was no difference (P gt; 0.05); (2) by the linear correlation analysis shows: gold alloy containing two alloys of titanium-nickel-chromium alloy roughness and Streptococcus mutans and Actinomyces viscosus have linear correlation between the adhesion amount, i.e., as the reduction of the roughness, the amount of bacterial adhesion reduction; (3) After There are also differences in the the alloy group between the different polishing procedures, no significant differences between Group 3 and Group 4 (P gt; 0.05), among other groups have a significant difference (P lt; 0.05); (4) the same Ra gold alloy and titanium-containing nickel-chromium alloy was no significant difference in the amount of bacterial adhesion. Conclusions: (1) for the same kind of alloy material, the surface roughness and the amount of bacterial adhesion was positively correlated with the surface roughness is reduced, the amount of bacterial adhesion decreases. This shows that in clinical applications, we should pay attention to polishing; (2) in the evaluation of the polishing process, the hard rubber wheel is the most critical step to affect the amount of bacterial adhesion, but least well-polished alloy surface adhesion of bacteria the naked eye, as the gloss. This indicates that the application of hard rubber wheel is an indispensable step in the polishing process of the prosthesis, strict and perfect polishing procedures can be more smooth and beautiful surface, so the prosthesis into the oral cavity, after polishing; ( 3) go through the same rigorous perfect polishing precious metal gold alloys and non-precious metal-containing the titanium nickel chromium alloy no statistical difference in of bacteria the early adhesion.
