Abstract

This work at lower pressure conditions (0.5-10Torr), for Xe / I 2 gas mixture DC glow discharge and high-frequency dielectric barrier discharge plasma XeI excimer formation process in detail research . Discharge plasma by fluorescence emission spectroscopy and electron temperature of the plasma obtained in the two discharge excimer formation XeI pressure changing mechanism and excimer formation. Experiments showed that: the two main discharge plasma is formed XeI excited excimer B , then XeI (B) to the ground state , i.e. B 1/2 → X 1/2 < / sub> transition , while emitting UV fluorescence . This transition is Bound - Free transitions , fluctuations in line intensity has obvious structure, the maximum peak at 253nm nearby. XeI excimer discharge plasma is formed in the two different mechanisms , DC glow discharge plasma is formed in the main channel is: Xe atoms in the excited state and the ground state I 2 excited state formed by the interaction of XeI excimer , with the efficiency of air pressure changes around the maximum in 2.5Torr ; dielectric barrier discharge plasma channel is formed mainly : ionized Xe and ionic state I 2 - ion recombination occurs XeI excimer formation of excited states and I * , with the maximum efficiency of air pressure changes in 4Torr so.
