Abstract


This paper first introduces the current state of development of the geographic information system ( GIS ) and its domestic and international geospatial data management , comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the simulation and prediction of land and soil protection in space query and spatial analysis function in earthquake disaster reduction system , cartography , thematic information systems and regional information systems , remote sensing image processing system combined with each other , in urban transport planning and management and vehicle scheduling and monitoring . Of geographic information system in two common data exchange format - raster ( Raster ) data structures and vector ( Vector ) data structure corresponding GIS data encoding described in detail . GIS external data three access WAP access methods , cluster communication access methods and GSM short message access methods compared , with emphasis on the basic concepts of the GSM short message in the GSM short message access , architecture and development methods in a more in-depth discussion . \The use of GSM short message transmission function in the system receives GPS position and the status signal transmitted from the terminal apparatus , converted to the MapInfo system software is able to identify the data format , and converted into a dynamic layer on the map displayed in the GIS MapInfo . System terrain contour map data , for example , the completion of the initial system debugging features . Practical results prove the feasibility of the program . System software in the Windows environment in Visual Basic 6 development , geographic information systems management software is used internationally popular the Mapinfo graphical management software , Visual Basic 6 using the callback technology to exchange data with MapInfo and start MapInfo in the background , this is transparent to the user . The main problem is how to use the GSM short message function system access GPS data into the GIS system , and then how to use MapInfo software tracking of dynamic layers in the GIS functions .
