Method: acquisition in April 2007 - March 2009 a total of two years in Chongqing Medical University Children's Hospital All specimens have been 528 cases of hospitalization due to acute respiratory infections in children with nasopharyngeal secretions ( Nasopharyngeal secretions , NPS) , RT- PCR method for detection of respiratory syncytial virus (Respiratory syncytial virus, RSV) and human metapneumovirus (Human metapneumovirus, hMPV) were negative , HCoV detected by RT-PCR method for all specimens . Results: 536 specimens were detected after RT-PCR method to 10 cases of HCoV positive rate was 1.86% , which HCoV-HKU1 3 cases (0.56%), HCoV-NL63 4 cases ( 0.74% ) the HCoV - OC433 cases ( 0.56 %), HCoV-229E 0 (0% ) . 10 cases of HCoV -positive the children 9 males, 1 female , age distribution of 0 to 5 months , 6 patients ( 60%) , 6 to November 2 cases (20 %) , 12 to 23 patients ( 10% ) 2-3 years (10%), gt; 3 -year-old was not found . In this study, HCoV showed all year distributing HCoV- NL63 , HCoV- HKU1 and HCoV-OC43 were concentrated in the winter and spring , summer and autumn , and the summer and autumn . Conclusion : HCoV hospitalized due to acute respiratory infections in children in Chongqing region infection rates are low , the main cause of lower respiratory tract infection ( lower resiratory tract infection , LRTIs ) .
