Abstract


Objection:To investigate the clinical effect and security of acupuncture combined with Fluvastatin in treating blood stasis syndrome of hyperlipidemia (HLP) of old people and apply a safer and more effective method to treat HLP than before.Method:According to the RCT method, a total of 91 patients who met these criteria were divided into two groups,46 for treatment group and 45 for control group. The treatment group was Fluvastatin combined with acupuncture once everyday, five times for a course. There were totally four courses for both groups. The control group was treated with Fluvastatin only. Observation was made to record the changes of the symptoms, total cholesterol (TC),High density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) and triglyceride (TG) before and after treatment to evaluate the effectiveness.Result:Among 91 cases,90 patients finished the study whereas 1 lost. Difference between two groups has statistical significance in hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia, mixed lipemias and HDL-C decreased. Both the two groups can reduce TC、TG、LDL-C, and improve HDL-C, but trial group is more effective. After the treatment, the patients’symptoms are markedly improved. But the treatment group is superior to the control one (P<0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of acupuncture combined with Fluvastatin can markedly reduce TC、TG、LDL-C, and improve HDL-C, especially can reach the standard; meanwhile it has better effect in improving symptom and curing the hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia, mixed lipemias and HDL-C decreased. It is an effective and safe method to treat blood stasis syndrome of hyperlipidemia and can make blood-lipid reach the standard quickly.
