Abstract


Sensation seeking is a personality trait , the concept is Zuckerman sensory deprivation experiment inspired , as the theoretical basis for the optimal level of stimulation and arousal . Sensation seeking is defined as \Measurement tool sensation seeking sensation seeking scale of sensation seeking areas of research and development slow , but because of the cultural background of sensation seeking , the lack of effective measurement tools . This study consists of two parts : a preparation of \college students sensation seeking and the relationship between mental health . The study results show that : a Chinese version of the college students feel questionnaire sought by two factors : excitement and adventure seeking (TAS) and disinhibition ( Dis ) . The scale has good reliability and validity meet the psychological statistically requirements . Chinese college students sensation seeking characteristics broadly consistent with overseas research results . Boys sensation seeking level of sensation seeking level higher than girls . The level of sensation seeking college students to enter a increased gradually slow period . Sensation seeking level also influenced by a variety of social background factors . The study results show that : the college students feeling to seek each component table and psychological health were significantly correlated , but the overall sensation seeking related to mental health did not reach a significant level . Sensation seeking to meet their own different means of stimulation needed by the individual to take a certain impact on college students' psychological health .
