Abstract

Objective: To observe BSHX method of intervention in the rat chronic ocular hypertension (elevated intraocular pressure, EIOP) model the outside geniculate body (lateral geniculate nucleus, LGN) injury , and explore its mechanism BSHX method . : Shut scleral venous branded , branded closed rats three episcleral vein , the establishment of a rat model of chronic EIOP were randomly divided into three groups : control group , model group , administration group . After 8 weeks , and 8 weeks , the rats were sacrificed , observed BSHX method of the EIOP rat intraocular pressure ( intraocular pressure , IOP ) , LGN pathological changes of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (brain-derived neurotrophin factor . , BDNF) expression. Results: The modeling method used in this experiment branded shut scleral venous rats IOP was significantly higher ( P lt; 0.01 ) and 8 weeks ( end of the experiment ) IOP is still made ??in the modeling mode 2.5-3 times intervention ; BSHX method of the rat chronic EIOP model LGN injury as follows : mild reduce IOP; to repair the EIOP rat LGN injury ; improve the BDNF expression in the EIOP rat LGN . Conclusion : the method of the branded closed sclera vein to establish a chronic the EIOP rat model , simple operation , stable results obtain moderate EIOP not less than two months ; BSHX method can effectively protect chronic the EIOP rat model of visual function its role is mainly reflected in slightly lower IOP, to repair the EIOP rat LGN of injury , to enhance of EIOP rat LGN BDNF expression .
