Objective: To observe the effect of oral and topical treatment of clinical efficacy in patients with appendiceal abscess and briefly explore its mechanism . Methods: Shandong Medical University Affiliated Hospital from June 2000 to June 2009 period treated 48 cases of appendiceal abscess were retrospectively analyzed , divided into treatment group and control group, treatment group combined oral and external application of Chinese medicine Western medicine , Western medicine alone application control group . Observation of the patient right lower quadrant pain and tenderness , rebound tenderness , body temperature, blood, mass , B-ultrasound , etc. ; observation of the patient body temperature returned to normal time , right lower quadrant pain time , mass dissipate time . Before treatment began five days after the system observed and recorded body temperature, blood 1, and compare the efficacy of 2,3,4 weeks . Results: 1 time right lower quadrant pain , body temperature returned to normal time , mass dissipation time , the treatment group compared with the control group of short , statistically , the treatment group and control group were significant differences (P lt; 0.05) , with statistical significance . Two groups of patients treated with 5 days after treatment , the recovery of body temperature , white blood cell count decreased , neutrophil count decreased were better than the treatment group , statistically significant differences (P lt; 0.05), a statistically significance . 3 treatment groups 2,3,4 week clinical efficacy than the control group . Conclusions : 1. Internal medicine topical can promote appendiceal abscess in patients with right lower quadrant pain time and shorten the recovery time and the mass temperature dissipation time . (2) Chinese Herbs topical appendix abscess can promote patient body temperature, white blood cell count , neutrophil count decreased and the mass dissipation . 3 Chinese Herbs topical can promote appendiceal abscess in patients with clinical symptoms and signs improved , more effective, reduce surgical trauma and complications, no significant side effects .
