Abstract


Excessive growth of health spending has become a topic of concern to the whole society, if this upward trend unchecked, will give society, the family bring more heavy burden, the residents can not meet the demand for health services. Therefore, to solve this problem is related to the vital interests of the masses, is related to the construction of a harmonious society. This research scholars at home and abroad on the basis of urban residents in the province of medical spending growth factor problems using actual data for quantitative analysis discussed. The empirical results show that the increase in health care spending is the result of many factors, these factors include economic growth, an aging population, demand for doctors and hospitals result, the government's public spending on health care as well as the popularity of urban basic medical insurance and the level of protection and so on. Where: First, economic growth is the result of medical expenses for urban residents in our province the most important factor in the growth of its income elasticity is about 0.457. Health care is a necessity, expenses and economic growth there is a significant positive correlation. Second, population aging on health care expenditure impact is there. On the one hand, the elderly due to morbidity, disability rates and high rates of disability caused by the increase in healthcare spending; the other hand, population aging is an inevitable result of improved health, a higher proportion of the elderly population increases the demand for health care services . More importantly, for a individual, medical expenses before death is often the person's life during the highest medical costs. Third, the medical market is a monopolistic competition, the asymmetry of information between doctors and patients for doctors to provide the conditions caused by demand. Resulting not only in the supply demand but also reflects on the conduct of the doctors in the hospital behavior, the hospital needs arising from the impact of behavior on the level of health spending needs arising from the impact of Dr. Gao Yu.
