Ultra- wideband high power microwave communications, radar, electronic warfare, target identification and a series of fields with potentially good prospects ; This article is ultra wideband antenna and objectives as part of the impulse response aspects of experimental research ; mainly includes the following aspects : 1. For ultra-wideband high power microwave technology research status were introduced. 2 . Bandwidth parameters of the time domain are introduced , given the definition of UWB . A brief introduction of the traditional variety of broadband antennas, such as dipole antennas, equiangular spiral antennas, log-periodic antenna , slot antenna , biconical antenna ; using conformal transformation test frequently used in the antenna plus ridge horn antenna for the derivation of the principle and the machining dimensions are given , the last of the processing of the double ridge horn antenna tested ; often used for the time domain a TEM horn antenna and several variations of the basic shape are reviewed and a a feed several different ways . 3 . Of today's most popular form of electromagnetic field calculation method - finite difference time domain (FDTD) method for the principle of the introduction . Including Yee formats and FDTD basic equations , numerical stability, and several absorbing boundary conditions . 4 . From the transmission line theory , analyzes compared three graded impedance transmission lines : exponential , Chebyshev type , Hankel type . Using FDTD for dual band line characteristic impedance were calculated , and with the characteristic impedance of the microstrip line theory for comparison. Finally produced and processed a plus ridge TEM transmit , receive antennas, given the test E and H-plane Square . 5 . The use of sampling oscilloscopes , pulse source and two TEM horn antenna in the darkroom of the target model pulse scattering experiments . Deconvolution using the impulse response of the target reduction .
