Abstract


Since the 1990s, along with the rapid development of science and technology and the acceleration of globalization process, cultural and economic integration trends increasingly prominent. Cultural industries have great significance in promoting economic restructuring and changing economic development mode. There is a close relationship between the future development of society, technological progress and the development of cultural industry. Therefore, to make a further study on China’s cultural industry development from the perspective of technological progress is undoubtedly important theoretical value and practical significance.In this paper, it firstly clarifies the technology, technological progress, culture and cultural industry and other related concepts, analyzing the course of development and features of cultural industries in developed countries driven by technological progress. Then generalizes and summarizes the development course and current status of our country’s cultural industry, inspects the successful experiences in propelling the development of cultural industry in some mainly developed countries, including institutional innovation, talents training, the application of high and new technology and so on. And then interprets the important roles technological progress plays in the development of cultural industries from the correlation between the three technology revolutions and the development of cultural industry. Discussing the roles that the technological advances play in the promotion of cultural industry value chain reconfiguration and upgrading, the promotion of cultural industries, structural adjustment and upgrading and enhancing the competitiveness of cultural industries. Finally takes China’s cultural industry development-related data as the analysis object, by measuring the correlation coefficient between the technological progress and the development of China’s cultural industry, broadly examine the technical advances and its contribution rate in the development of China’s cultural industry, and propose a certain amount of countermeasures and proposals for the development of China’s cultural industry.
