Abstract


In modern time, graphic design is no longer a simple production and market behavior. The more important positive value it embodied lies in its aesthetic significance and cultural meaning. Whether from the market competition or culture development, the traditional and national culture is very important to the development of contemporary Chinese graphic design. Chinese folk arts is the art of Chinese nation and the matrix of Chinese national culture and art. It draws support from the innovqtion and accumulation for the survival and practical spirit needs to inherit and continue. Then it formed unique artistic language and aesthetic system. This series of artistic element is inexhaustible precious wealth for modern graphic design.The main content of this research is how to deeper understanding of Chinese folk arts and explore the elements which can enrich language of modern graphic design. This thesie is to engage in analytical research on the cultural connotation,mould making and the aesthetic implication of folk arts. Thereinto analysising some success of modern graphic design case and combined with the corresponding design practice as a supplement and comlete,it has combined theory with practice. Researching on the enlightenment of Chinese folk arts elements in modern graphic design would promote the ethnic traditional culture, also greatly enriched the graphic design language and promote the development of diversified graphic design art.
