Abstract


The cluster system as a target in order to achieve high reliability , which consists of a group of interconnected computers , these stand-alone external coordination of a single , complete computing resources . The operating system needs to be explored in order to establish a database cluster system , support of the database high reliability and high performance . The success of Linux load balancing system has laid a good foundation for the establishment of a database on Linux cluster system . The main advantage of the system based on the Linux kernel cluster performance for concurrency and high scalability . The virtual service system LVS built on top of the Linux kernel , a the scheduler layer by the load , the server pool layer , shared storage layer consisting of three - tier architecture , the structure has good scalability . Through the introduction of the database server to the server pool layer , multiple database nodes using the data synchronization mechanism to achieve the purpose of data sharing , we can create a Linux-based database cluster system . Did not get fully realized in the database system in the four elements - high reliability support a single system image , job management and communication mechanism for determining cluster design , we transform the Linux load balancing system , and build a database abstract model of the cluster system . The model uses a three - tier architecture : load scheduling layer , data layer and data synchronization layer . The system uses no shared memory structure , the use of a single data dictionary , transaction log shipping to maintain data synchronization . According to the model , the combination of the LVS source code, we implemented a prototype system for DMC . The prototype system to achieve parallel query processing , including network address translation mode , IP tunneling mode with direct routing load balancing strategy in three ways , depending on the application needs to achieve a round robin , weighted round robin , least link eight kinds of load scheduling algorithm . Experimental results show that effectively enhance the database cluster system based on Linux created the original database system such as DM3 , the Mysql parallel and scalability applies to height frequent query operation , update operation is relatively small database applications to adapt to the current websites, forums, decision support systems , application development needs .
