Abstract


Mass communication and social structure there is a close symbiotic relationship and interdependence . Previous studies more attention to the impact of mass communication technologies change the social structure , with little discussion of the role of mass communication in social class differentiation . This paper attempts to transition from the social point of view , to explore the role of mass communication in the process of social stratification , as well as changes in the function of mass communication in the transition process . The basic context of the article is to describe the contemporary Chinese social stratification status and class on the basis of the control and use of the media , the status quo of the mass media in China 's urban, rural , regional distribution , and analysis of the the transformation recovery period of mass communication shall bear social role, status and influence . Then describes the gap between the \Pointed out in the analysis of the transition period of mass communication on all levels of society , the mass media should make full use of their own advantages, and to promote all sectors of society , the coordination of social conflicts, promoting social mobility and cultural integration of the role . This paper argues that mass communication is in the process of social transformation from the \The current development of mass communication to maintain social stability, and promote social harmony and development as its mission , positioning their roles to play to their impact . The mainstreaming trend of mass communication in the development process , in fact , have deviated from the professional responsibility to serve the public interest , further marginalized vulnerable groups . This paper further mass communication should use its influence in the moderate range , to avoid hurting the innocent . Urbanization is an important aspect of mass communication to promote the rational flow of the class in the urbanization process timely and accurate dissemination of information to the audience , to promote the rational flow of social stratification and social class .
