Abstract


Socialist harmonious society emphasizes the coordinated development of political, economic, cultural and other aspects. In recent years, with the degree of economic globalization continues to deepen and enhance the strength of China's economic, cultural industry and its influence has also become an important part of the comprehensive national strength, to speed up the development of the cultural industry has become imperative. After 30 years of reform and opening up, China's economic development has made remarkable achievements. But seriously lagging behind the development of the film industry as one of the core content of the cultural industry, which is very incompatible with China's economic development as well as the splendid culture of five thousand years of Chinese. Since the 1990s, the global movie industry into the era of global competition, the U.S. film industry by virtue of its rich development experience as well as its strong industrial strength, quickly occupied the world film market. Firstly a more detailed overview of the development process and the status quo of Sino-US film industry, according to Michael Porter's theory of industrial competitiveness, industrial competitiveness by the factors of production, demand conditions, related and supporting industries, businesses strategic structure, competitive, governmental, and opportunities in six competitive factors constitute, under which a comparative analysis of the competitiveness of China and the United States film industry. According to the research results, the elements that affect the international competitiveness of industries, China's film industry demand conditions take significant advantage, while other elements are at a disadvantage. In other words, China's film industry is still in the preliminary stage of the development, also in a weak position in the world film industry competition. The same time, the film industry has its own characteristics, respectively, from the box office receipts advantage index of export growth, export trade dependence, as well as the penetration of four indicators of the competitiveness of the Chinese and U.S. film industry empirical analysis, results from the empirical analysis China's film industry can be seen low box office receipts, export competitiveness is also much lower than in the United States.
