With the development of high-tech and media , popular culture has risen rapidly, and lead the people into a public hustle and bustle of the times . Language and culture are inseparable , as the carrier of culture , language reflects culture . Buzzwords as an active language materials is an important part of the popular culture , received a lot of attention from the scholars of sociology, philosophy and linguistics . The selected youth groups in popular culture , as the research object Campus Languages ??. Conceptual metaphor theory of Lakoff and Johnson ( 1980 ) based on the form of questionnaires and interviews , this study is intended to explore the campus buzzwords significance of China , from the perspective of cognitive semantics also provide an understanding of Westerners Chinese youth culture platform. The study carried out in four universities in Wuhan, China empirical investigation , collected 75 campus buzzwords , which conceptual metaphor to explore the characteristics of the language and context of the university campus . The survey results show that 56 included in the four universities in Wuhan collected 75 Campus Languages ??metaphor , accounting for a large proportion , but also further our daily life language metaphor is everywhere . We understand the way things are metaphors , which uses a conceptual domain to understand another conceptual domain . This the 56 campus fashionable , we can summarize the 12 conceptual metaphors , including five entities metaphor, five structural metaphor and two orientational metaphor . Campus fashionable metaphor involves many of the concepts in the field , some people , learning, mood , support or oppose the exam , after-school activities , love , and so on . Half of the metaphor is people-centered , source domain including plants, animals, food, natural phenomena . Campus fashionable generation is rapidly expanding university campus in the popular culture , the context includes two aspects , one is the physical experience of the students themselves , and second, college students on campus in which popular culture .
