Abstract

O 2 < / sup> is a very important and very special to the existence of a low - altitude ionosphere ion is widely studied molecular ion one . The first negative band ( b 4 < / sup> Σ G - < / sup > -a 4 < / sup> Π u < / sub > intermediate ) is the transition between the quartet state , usually oxygen ionization process and oxidation chemical reaction will occur this transition with the Department . O 2 first negative band (b 4 Σ G - -a < sup> 4 Π u ) a total of 48 branches with serious overlap and some support with spectrum recognize work brought great difficulties . In this paper, of O 2 < / sub > mixed gas and helium gas Penning discharge generate O 2 molecular ion , high - sensitivity optical heterodyne - speed modulation spectroscopy (Optical Heterodyne Velocity Modulation Spectroscopy referred OH- VMS ) , 13170 ~ 13500 cm -1 within O 2 first the absorption spectrum of the negative band . The research work is O 2 second negative band ( 4,19 ) has been correctly identified by our group in the band on the basis of the band , the remaining spectrum analyzed belongs the O 2 first negative band (b 4 Σ G - < / sup>-a 4 Π u ) (2,6) with a total of 33 branches with more than 200 root Doppler limited high-resolution spectrum . Rotation analysis and overall fitting method to determine the upper state b 4 the Σ G and under the state a 4 Π u the molecular rovibrational level constant. (2,6 ) with the direct absorption spectroscopy measurements has not been reported . Quantum mechanical method calculated O 2 < / sup> molecular ion b 4 the Σ G - - a 4 Π u transition frequency . In the theoretical analysis , the choice of the effective Hamilton its matrix elements of theoretical calculations , with the weight of the non-linear least squares fit of all spectral lines are identified . The calculated O 2 upper and lower state RKR potential advantage of the latest balance vibration constant while different vibrational band quartet state transitions Frank - RKR potential results Condon factors .
